AI for Humanitarian Action

Hi, I am Jan.

I’m not just passionate about AI—I’m driven by its to support peacebuilding and humanitarian efforts. Witnessing how conflict and disasters devastate communities, this has inspired me to dedicate my career to developing AI-driven solutions that help prevent crises, foster global collaboration, and build lasting peace.

With over six years of experience as a data analytics consultant, I specialize in transforming complex data challenges into actionable insights. My work spans multiple domains, from analyzing misinformation to developing early-warning systems and creating AI-powered platforms for decision-making in diplomacy and peacebuilding.

I combine advanced technical expertise in machine learning, data engineering, and storytelling with a commitment to staying ahead of the curve. Whether it’s Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Spark, or cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, I select the right tools for every challenge.

Currently, I focus on helping organisations in the public and finance sectors define their fitting AI strategy and prototype machine learning use cases with Capgemini Invent while providing high-quality insights on the emerging field of AI for Humanitarian Action. Previously, I gained international professional experience as a data analyst, data scientist and consultant in various industries, especially in the public and finance sectors.

I like to work in diverse and inclusive teams with people from all over the world as well as learning new languages besides German, English, Spanish, and French. I am currently based in📍Frankfurt, via Stuttgart, Nutley, Bamberg, Budapest, Lima, Barcelona, Madrid, and Cologne.
